Jim has been in the insurance industry for over 40 years, for about 30 of these he worked in Australia in several executive roles, especially as Chief Executive of the Heath and Minet broking groups. He returned from Australia in 1993 to assume the role of Group Deputy Chairman of Minet Insurance Brokers in the UK.

Peter has completed nearly 40 years in the City of London, all of those providing service to the African insurance industry. Peter started his career in June 1967 at Robert Bradford / Grieve and Irwin Insurance Brokers and left that company to work with Bray Gibb in 1970, a company that eventually became part of the Willis Corroon Group.

Peter was the other founder member of Christchurch-King Reinsurance Brokers Limited. He left Willis Faber in 1995 after more than 23 years service. A man with a wide knowledge of most facets of reinsurance, his experience has taken him to Africa many times, as well as extensive travel in the Far East and Scandinavia.

Ian started his career in 1955 with the Legal & General and in the subsequent 12 years also worked for them in Ghana and Nigeria. On joining Munich Re in 1977 he spent the next 6 years managing their regional office in Abidjan before returning to Head Office in Munich from where he administered their African portfolio. When this function was transferred to South African in 1995 Ian also moved to Johannesburg and still lives there following his retirement in 2002. He now acts as CKRe’s Representative for Africa.
